Frankfort Fall Festival

Each year during Labor Day weekend, visitors gather to the charming Village of Frankfort to enjoy the Frankfort Fall Festival. The festival welcomes over 300 artisans from all over the United States to exhibit their elite products and services.

In addition, many of Frankfort’s local organizations collaborate by sponsoring special events that highlight Frankfort Fall Festivities. ADMISSION IS FREE and there is something for everyone from carnival rides to main stage entertainment, to walking tacos and funnel cakes, Frankfort Fall Fest has it ALL!

Schlafly Art Outside

Schlafly is proud to sponsor and host the 23rd annual Art Outside Art Fair held at Schlafly Bottleworks in historic Maplewood. This is an alternative art festival, in which every piece of artwork is unique and made by the artists.

We will be inviting an array of mediums such as: acrylic, ceramics, glass, jewelry, metalwork, oil, pastel/pencil/charcoal, pen/ink, photography, stonework, tempera, textile/fiber, watercolor, and woodworking - just to name a few!

Like beer, art brings people together, and we aim to raise awareness and appreciation of art, music, and an ice-cold beer that are all created in our very own community.

Each year, we feature over 60 local artists and deliver a family-friendly experience you won’t find anywhere else. Come peruse and get to know art without pretense.

Edwardsville Art Show

The Edwardsville Art Fair is an annual 3 day outdoor juried arts celebration presenting the work of approximately 100 talented local, regional, national, and international artists; local performing arts; live art demonstrations; children’s art gallery; and food and drink vendors. Located in beautiful historic City Park in Edwardsville, Illinois, 25 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri, the fair draws 10,000 visitors from around the region. Hosted by the Edwardsville Arts Center and a variety of local sponsors, this favorite local event is known for its top-notch hospitality, excellent sales, and gorgeous location! The event is open and free to the public.

Sugar Creek Arts Festival

The Sugar Creek Arts Festival is a nationally recognized, juried arts event, showcasing fine art and fine crafts for sale by local, regional, and national artists. Organized by the McLean County Arts Center, this free community event also features musical performances and art-making demonstrations. The Sugar Creek Arts Festival is hosted outdoors in the beautiful streets of Uptown Normal, during the Fall season.

 

Originating with sixteen artists selling from the trunks of their cars in 1983, we can't wait to welcome artists, our community, and visitors to enjoy and celebrate its 43rd year! The 43rd Sugar Creek Arts Festival will take place October 3rd through October 4th, 2026.

Geneva Arts Fair

For over 20 years, the juried Geneva Arts Fair has risen in attendance and notoriety. The fine arts show showcases fine artisans from around the country in a host of mediums from 10 am-5 pm.

Look for the white tent on Franklin Street among the awesome display of trees, shrubs and plants in Plandscape Inc.’s Arts Garden at Third and Franklin. Don’t miss live acoustic music on Saturday and Sunday from 12-2pm.

Historic downtown Geneva serves as a picturesque backdrop for the outdoor fine arts show on Third Street in Geneva.

This class is unique in that you REALLY TRULY do NOT need to be creative to make a beautiful painting. I am making the hardest part — the sunflowers flowers — ahead of time, so you don’t have to!

This makes a several days long class into something you can do in just over an hour! I will show you how to plan a layout design for your painting. Teach you how to use palette knives to paint the background. And show you how to properly pipe paint to make the perfect leaves and additional small flower details. You leave the class with a gorgeous 6x8 sunflower painting in hand!

Everyone will be given a box filled with pre-made sunflowers to use in your painting. Everyone’s boxes will be slightly different and it is always fun to trade pieces with your neighbor.

SPOTS ARE LIMITED AND YOU MUST REGISTER AHEAD OF TIME!

Kids ages 10+ are welcome with an adult.

In this class you will be given a 9x12” canvas with a thick bowl shape already in place. You will paint the bowl and the background in any colors/patterns you prefer. Then we will start placing the pre-made succulents and plants in place and piping the additional cactus and plant details to make your piece truly unique.

Chunky Palette Knife Painting with Erin Alice with ARTSCO

We will be painting a pot of succulents.

Erin Alice loves to blur the boundaries between sculpture and painting by innovating new ways to use paint like using palette knives and cake icing piping bags to create an extreme impasto style. Join her as she teaches us how to use palette knives to paint the background, and show you how to properly pipe paint to make some finishing touches. Erin will provide a kit with the key elements of the painting so you leave the class with a gorgeous succulent painting in hand!
